Valentia Island is one of Ireland’s most westerly points. It lies off the Iveragh Peninsula in the southwest of County Kerry. It is linked to the mainland on the southern side by the Maurice O’Neill Memorial Bridge at Portmagee and a ferry at the northern end.  It is approximately 11 kilometres long by almost 3 kilometres wide and has some of the most spectacular views in Ireland. A visit to Valentia is a must if your are in Kerry, unmissable, especially on a sunny day.
