Conna, Irish (Conaithe) is a small quaint village in Co. Cork. The village is dominated by Conna Castle built in 1564 the Fitzgeralds, Earls of Desmond, after ten years of construction. It overlooks the River Bride famous for salmon and trout fishing. Conna posses a Grand National Winner: Monty’s Pass won the Aintree Grand National on 5 April 2003. Trainer: Jimmy Mangan
