Lismore Castle  –  Co. Waterford is the Irish home of the Duke of Devonshire, it belonged to the Earls of Desmond, and later to the Cavendish family from 1753. It was re-built during the mid-nineteenth century by William Cavendish, 6th Duke of Devonshire. It is situated on the beautiful river banks of the Blackwater river. Famous for fisihng and tourism with striking gardens full of foliage and flowers. Well worth a vistit if you are touring Ireland.
